Illustrating Thursdays is made to show off both. Favorite picture books or illustrations from a book, illustrations or art based on a book, or art that reminds you of a book you love are all fair game. The Art of Eric Carle is fantastic and I highly recommend it to fans of the author/illustrator. It’s a combination of Art Book, autobiography and photo journal, with insights from Carle and people who have worked closely with him through the years. It’s a fascinating look into his creative process and his growth as an artist.
